GIS Coordinator, Thompson-Nicola Regional District
As GIS Coordinator for the Thompson-Nicola Regional District, Nga divides her time between strategic planning, project management, systems integration, database design, various senior level consulting assignments for local governments and the ongoing implementation of the Regional District’s GIS and property information system. Nga continues to foster collaboration with other GIS and IT practitioners in BC by sharing best practices, customized tools, spatial data and by participating in shared local government software development initiatives.
Nga has been professionally involved in the Information Technology and GIS industry since 1994, particularly in the local government, natural resources and land use sectors. Nga has a degree in Geography from the University of Calgary and is continually enhancing her professional qualifications with courses and certification in leadership, project management, emergency management and information technology.
