Sally Barton


Acting Vice President, Information and Technology Services, BC Assessment

Sally is the Acting Vice President, Information and Technology Services at BC Assessment which is an independent, provincial Crown corporation responsible for producing uniform and efficient property assessments on an annual basis for all property owners throughout BC.

Sally has an extensive international IT background and experience in the public, private and charitable sectors.

Prior to joining BC Assessment in 2010, Sally worked in various Executive Director roles within the Provincial Government, including the Olympic Games Secretariat and with the Ministry of Finance. Previously, Sally worked for a large IT consultancy across Europe and Australia and for the National Trust, a charity that is the second largest landowner in the UK.

Sally holds a BSc. (Hons) in Geographical Information Systems and Executive MBA, is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, a Chartered IT Professional and a Prince2 Certified Project Manager.
